5 Pillars of Mahnal

Each pillar depicts the growth of a flower as an illustration of the phases we transition through coming into a new level of inner beautification. We cycle through & revisit these phases with each new lesson and advancement.

 Design Process

Through traditional methods of metalsmithing and fabrication, I create each piece of jewelry by hand. I create my jewelry almost exclusively of brass. I employ techniques such as hand hammering, wire bending, & forming to highlight the jewelry’s imperfect handcrafted nature. In using such textures and forms, the jewelry feels organic and full of character, resulting in a beauty all their own. Each piece of jewelry exists as a characteristic, named based on the attribute they carry. With each collection or series, I focus on inspiring contemplation on messages centering on growth and intentional living.

Our mission at Mahnal is to create a world of meaning and beauty. To do this we inspire women to fall in love with life through reminders to live each day with intention and beauty. That reminder could be through the jewelry, the collection meanings, the content we share, or through the experiences we create. Our end goal at Mahnal is to help develop the inner-world of women to inspire an outer world of meaning and beauty.

Mahnal’s Future

The future of Mahnal will evolve into something much more magical and transformative and evolved than anything we’ve ever offered before. I’m excited to share that this vision is the culmination of all of the guiding principles and meditations that inspire Mahnal’s jewelry brought to life in a physical space: Mahnal Home.

Mahnal Home is a little slice of heavenly escapism nestled in a high ceiling, beautifully lit, and sumptuously decorated historic home. Upon entering you’ll be welcomed into a cozy living room fit for talks, socializing, small gatherings or workshops. In this room, as well as throughout the home, you’ll find art and miscellaneous objects handcrafted by artisans from both domestic and abroad. Proceeding beyond the living room you’ll enter the dining room that will host intimate dinners, experiences, and special presentations. As you venture deeper within the home you'll find various rooms that include a showroom, just for Mahnal’s jewelry, a space curated with handpicked items for sale that reflect our vision of creating a more beautiful and meaningful world. Beyond the borders of the home you’ll find a wonderfully landscaped yard surrounding it. Sprinkled with fruit trees, herb bushes, and a small fish pond is an oasis of utter relaxation. This area is for just that: a place to get away. From open air pop-ups and workshops to a spot for a simple cup of tea or quiet reading. Mahnal Home will bring to life the magic of our vision of what a world of meaning and beauty would look like. We’d start our home first in St. Louis with traveling pop-ups here and there, before taking our vision into other cities and finally abroad. There’s so much we want to bring you from the world of Mahnal and jewelry is just the start.
